Beef tallow, on your skin? We understand the pause. But grass-fed tallow, triple-filtered until it's clean and odourless, is remarkably close in structure to your own skin's oils, so it sinks in and feeds instead of sitting greasy on top. Rosehip and jojoba bring slip and softness; unrefined cocoa butter and shea cushion the skin and seal moisture in. No added fragrance; nothing perfumed near new skin, ever. Your skin doesn't resist it. It recognises it.

Warm a little between fingertips, where it melts on contact, and press into damp skin. Bump, hips and chest through pregnancy; afterwards, anywhere that feels tight, dry or new. A pea-sized amount goes a long way.

  • Grass-fed tallow (premium, triple-filtered)
  • Organic rosehip oil
  • Golden jojoba oil
  • Cocoa butter (organic, unrefined)
  • Organic shea butter
  • Vitamin E

That's the whole list.

One balm for bump, scars and every dry patch motherhood leaves behind.

Why you’ll love it

Deeply nourishing

Triple-filtered grass-fed tallow sits close to skin’s own lipids, so it feeds rather than sits on top.

Sinks in clean

Rosehip and jojoba carry it in without grease; a pea-sized amount melts on contact and goes a long way.

No added fragrance

Nothing perfumed near new skin, just the faint natural warmth of unrefined cocoa butter.

Made from what skin recognises.

Meet the Mumma Balm — £28
What's inside

Six ingredients, each earning its place.

Grass-fed tallow

Adeps bovis · premium, triple-filtered

Remarkably close in structure to the lipids in our own skin, so it sinks in rather than sitting on top. Triple-filtered for purity: deep, lasting nourishment for stretched and weathered skin.

Organic rosehip oil

Rosa canina

Naturally rich in vitamin A and omegas 3, 6 and 9, the quiet worker on scars, stretch marks and uneven tone.

Golden jojoba oil

Simmondsia chinensis

Technically a liquid wax, almost identical to skin's own sebum. Carries the balm in cleanly, without greasiness.

Cocoa butter

Theobroma cacao · organic, unrefined

Sets the balm and leaves a fine, breathable seal, holding moisture exactly where you put it, with a faint natural warmth.

Organic shea butter

Butyrospermum parkii

Cushioning fatty acids with naturally occurring vitamins A and E. Comfort for elbows, heels and bump.

Vitamin E

Tocopherol

A natural antioxidant that keeps every oil in the jar fresh, and lends skin a little protection of its own.

Your ritual

01

Warm it

02

Onto damp skin: bump, hips, dry hands, anywhere tight or new.

03

Let it settle

It sinks in clean, with no added fragrance. Just skin, fed.

Our story

Made by a mum who couldn’t find it on the shelf.

Green Mumma began at 3am: cracked hands, a restless newborn, and a bathroom cabinet full of products that promised everything and soothed nothing.

So we went back to the old ways of tallow, botanicals and mineral salts, and made the three things we wished someone had pressed into our hands at the hospital door.

Our 30-day happiness promise: if you’re not happy, get in touch within 30 days and we’ll put it right.

A short, natural ingredient list you can read aloud: no parabens and no synthetic fragrance. The full list is on every product page.

Every batch is made slowly, in small quantities, in England.

Every formula is made for use through pregnancy and nursing, with short, considered ingredient lists. As with anything you use while expecting, we’d always say patch test first and check with your midwife if you have any concerns.
