Our story

It started at 3am,
like most things do now.

Cracked hands from the endless washing. A newborn whose skin flared at everything. A bathroom cabinet of beautiful bottles that promised the world and delivered fragrance, fillers and a faint sting. Somewhere in that first blurry winter, between the night feeds, Green Mumma was sketched on the back of a hospital appointment letter.

We started asking older questions. What did our grandmothers reach for before skincare was an aisle? The answers kept coming back the same: tallow, rosehip, mineral salts, calendula. Simple things from fields and hedgerows that worked because skin recognises them.

"We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to make the three things we wished someone had pressed into our hands at the hospital door."

So that's what Green Mumma is: three rituals, made slowly in England in small batches. A balm that earns its place on the changing table. A soak that gives a tired body its minerals back. An oil that keeps quiet company with scars and stretch marks while they soften. None of it tries to change you. It's here to look after the person everyone forgets to look after.

Every ingredient is chosen for where and how it's grown. Every formula is made with pregnancy and nursing in mind. And every product has to pass the only test that matters: would we use it on ourselves, and on our babies, at 3am without thinking twice?

That's the whole story. The rest is in the jar.

Small batches

Stirred, poured and labelled by hand.

Every batch is made the slow way: blended in small kettles, poured one jar at a time, and rested before it's released. No batch leaves the bench without a mother's hands having checked it first.

It means we sometimes sell out. We think that's a fair trade.

What we hold to

Three promises, kept.

Nothing hidden

Full ingredient lists on every page, in plain English and Latin. If we wouldn't say it out loud to a midwife, it doesn't go in the jar.

Sourced with care

British farms for our tallow, cold-pressed oils from single groves, magnesium from ancient sea beds. Slow supply chains, on purpose.

Mothers first

Formulated around real postpartum life: one-handed, fragrance-light, made for use from bump to breastfeeding and gentle enough to share with little ones.
